Journal18 turns handwritten golf rounds into editable stats and insights. You can photograph a Journal18 Performance Log or enter a round manually.

Need help? Email info@journal18.com. Include the email on your Journal18 account and a short description of the issue. Do not send your password, Apple ID password, or payment-card information.

Managing your Apple subscription

Journal18 Premium is billed through your Apple Account. Journal18 cannot cancel an Apple subscription for you.

Use Apple's Manage Subscriptions page to view, change, or cancel Journal18 Premium. You can also open Settings on your iPhone or iPad, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, and select Journal18.

Canceling stops future renewals. Premium remains available until the end of the period you already paid for. For a refund request, use Apple's Report a Problem page.

Restoring Premium

If you already subscribed but Journal18 does not show Premium:

Confirm the device is signed in to the Apple Account used for the purchase.
Open Journal18 and go to Profile.
Tap Restore purchases.

If Premium still does not appear, email info@journal18.com with the Journal18 account email. Do not send an Apple password or full receipt containing sensitive payment information.

Deleting your account

You can initiate permanent deletion inside the app:

Open Profile.
Scroll to Account.
Tap Delete account below Sign out.
Read the data-deletion and Apple subscription notice.
Type delete account and confirm the final action.

After Journal18 accepts the request, account access ends immediately and the app displays a request ID. Journal18 permanently erases the profile, email, preferences, rounds, hole and shot data, stats, insights, goals, favorites, uploads, stored images, OCR results, sharing records, notification records, Journal18-side entitlement and billing mappings, Clerk identity, RevenueCat customer profile, and other user-owned app data within 7 calendar days. We attempt to email the account address only after backend erasure is complete. Whether delivery succeeds or reaches the deadline, the pending workflow then removes that email.

If you used Sign in with Apple, Journal18 revokes Apple authorization programmatically when a usable credential is available. If the existing sign-in did not provide a usable Apple token or authorization code, the accepted-state screen gives Apple Settings steps to manually stop using Apple ID with Journal18. That separate Apple cleanup does not delay deletion of Journal18 data.

Journal18 retains only a non-identifying deletion receipt after completion. It does not contain your email, provider identifiers, golf data, photos, or content and cannot be used to recreate the account. The Journal18 app privacy policy explains limited processor-controlled service-log retention.

Deleting the Journal18 account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Apple billing can continue until you cancel it. Use Manage Subscriptions before deletion if you want to stop future renewals. You may still delete the Journal18 account immediately.

If you cannot access the app, email info@journal18.com from the address associated with the Journal18 account. We may verify account ownership before deletion. Once verified, the same scope and 7-day completion window apply.

Photographing a page

For the clearest AI reading:

Lay the page flat.
Use bright, even light and avoid shadows.
Hold the device directly above the page.
Keep all four page corners visible.
Retake the photo if the handwriting looks blurred.

Every suggested value is editable. Review uncertain or highlighted fields before completing the round.

Photo and data retention

Raw OCR processing copies are deleted automatically within 48 hours after processing finishes when they are not being retained as temporary round-linked media.
Temporary images linked to a round are deleted automatically within 30 days after upload.
Confirmed round fields remain in the account until you delete the content or delete the account.
Account deletion overrides the ordinary image windows and places all user-owned media and OCR data into the 7-day erasure workflow.
