Journal18 Support

Journal18 is a golf journaling app for iPhone. Photograph the pages of your handwritten golf journal or scorecard and Journal18 reads them for you, turning your notes into rounds, stats, trends, and insights. Prefer typing? You can log rounds manually too.

Managing your subscription

Journal18 Premium is billed through your Apple ID, so subscriptions are managed in your App Store settings, not in the app.

To view, change, or cancel your subscription: open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name at the top, then tap Subscriptions and select Journal18. Canceling stops future renewals, and you keep Premium until the end of the period you have already paid for. To cancel before you are charged again, do it at least 24 hours before your renewal date.

For refunds on past charges, Apple handles those directly at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Restoring your purchase

Already subscribed but the app is not showing Premium? This usually happens after reinstalling the app or setting up a new phone. Open Journal18, go to the Profile tab, and tap Restore purchases. Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple ID you used to subscribe.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account any time from inside the app: go to the Profile tab and choose Delete account. This permanently removes your account and your round data.

If you cannot access the app, email info@journal18.com from the address on your account and we will delete it for you.

One thing to know: deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. Cancel that separately in your App Store settings (see above).

Tips for photographing your journal

A few things that help the AI read your handwriting accurately:

Lay the page flat and shoot from directly above.
Use good, even light and avoid shadows across the page.
Get the whole page in frame without cutting off edges.
Hold steady so numbers stay sharp.

Everything the AI reads is editable, so if something looks off, tap it and correct it before saving the round.

Requesting data deletion

Deleting your account in the app removes your data. If you want your data deleted without using the app, or you have a question about what we store, email info@journal18.com and we will take care of it. Our privacy policy has the full details: https://www.journal18.com/policies/privacy-policy
