It would be nice to have somewhere to record you last round and you current round so you can see if your better or worse on that hole , but I love it also love the golf log book pitty both could not have those good bits . Great book will be ordering another before I finish this one . Love it
I love the journal, could of features to put in the backlog
1) on top of shot tracker page have a GIR for each hole so you can ā vs ā
2) on top of drives page you could do same as above for FIR.
3) have a legend page for symbols you could use as short hand for different things to capture e.g. green cross is green in regulation where you got putt in. Red Cross is green in regulation but you missed the putt.
This is so cool,
The enjoyment you get from researching the course to add into the pre round. The notes and markings during the round and finally sitting doing to do post round reflection
Early review as only taken it out for one round, but found the process of writing down something after each shot into the journal is really helpful in letting the bad shots go and staying present. Really impressed.
In all honesty, this journal might be the best improvement to my golf set-up Iāve made this year. I used it yesterday for the first time and played my best round of the season. The key element of the product is its ability to keep you engaged from the pre-round planning process, through each shot, and finishing with a beer and self-reflection afterwards. The lite version couples nicely with a scorecard (where I keep, score, FIR, GIR, putts) and you have all the data you need in your back pocket. I absolutely recommend Journal18. :)
I like using it to plan my practice, jot down notes on what went well and what I need to work on, I like to use it for practice rounds and preparing how I play each hole, and to organize my thoughts pre round that I want to be able to refer to during the round.
Love this thing! Aside from friends and family jokingly calling me āMatt Fitzpatrickā due to me tracking all my shots and yardages š¤, there are no downsides. I love being able to see my common miss throughout the round and having the yardages written down for quick reference has really helped me play better. The only true negative is that I ordered my name engraved on the front and my order showed up without it. Minor detail that doesnāt hinder performance but I was a little disappointed when it wasnāt there. š
This is my second Journal 18 and I absolutely love it. The perfect size for my back pocket and it fits the scorecard perfectly. I love the thoughtfulness that comes with writing my pre-shot thoughts and post-shot reflections gives me. Looking forward to buying these for my 4-some.
I find that the discipline on pre planning and setting has helped in the thinking of the round. Updating it during round also showed where the drives went during each round. The approaches, when mapped, showed me I was inconsistent.
Will keep going with this.
I gave you 5 stars for the product but was disgusted by United Parcel International sending me a bill for the tariff fee of $5 I was told to pay by a certain day or be assessed an additional 10%. By time I received the notice I had only 4 days to pay. This whole tariff thing is disgusting but it should not impact your product review. I feel your pain as I am sure it could generate returns. It was a gift and he loves it. A real shame this is going on.
Love it
I like going and playing or practicing and taking down notes and also looking back at seeing how i did and can improve. Will be buying another one!!
My husband loved it!! He loves the ability to put down strategies and goals, and then be able to track where youāre hitting the ball, and finally being able to review how your round went!! The packaging is immaculate!
