Our journals are built to be reused — but when you’re ready for more pages, optional inner refills keep your journey going.
I have loved using this. I broke 70 and hit my first hole in one when using this. Great product. I do wish it was a little bit shorter, but throwing it in the back pocket and it works great!
Having received the Track Pad Pro as a Christmas Present, I have loved using it on course. I feel that I am more accountable to myself for my game and logging shots on the maps aids with this. The pre and post round sheets are great to plan and reflect on the game. I have been playing better with this in my bag!
The custom text allowed me to add a short mantra to the Journal for when on course. I only have to look at it and it helps to refocus after a bad shot or in setting up for the next one. Love my Track Pad Pro!
I cannot believe the improvement in my game since using the Journal 18. I used it for 4 weeks when I first bought it and having a focus on what I COULD control during a round (pre shot routine, acceptance after each shot etc.) had a massive impact not only in my enjoyment but also my results.
Put it down for few weeks and my scores went up!
I recommitted to filling it out before AND after &
I have just won two of the biggest comps at our club and Journal 18 must have been a factor!
Many thanks guys!
I can see that the J18 is going to be of great value…even if it is just to be clear about things I need to work on from week to week…the only thing that has been a little dissatisfying is the rubber grip on the pen tends to catch on the elastic hoop when pulling out or putting back in…all in all super piece of equipment
I enjoy using Journal 18 to prep for a round, log my shots, and review results. It helps me stay accountable out on the course while I work on my game. Fantastic product that I highly recommend to those looking to lower their score.
I like the journal, still yet to utilize a few of the other pages but like it. I do wish it were directly into an app so I don’t have to deal with my one criticism which is that the erase ability isn’t great. I tried the eraser and damp paper towel to reuse the pages but doesn’t work that great so will just end up ordering refill pages.
Since I have been using the pro my game has gotten a lot better!! It has made me think about my game and slowed it down just enough to shave off about 5-10 strokes so far in month half roughly of using!! I enjoy it and can’t wait to see where else it takes my game
I love using the journal pre, during and post round, really lets me think about my plan and I find it a great way to get rid of a bad shot of hole from my mind so that I can move onto the next one. The customer service from Journal18 was amazing, there was a slight issue with my first track pad pro so they sent another straight away!
My only tip for improvement would be to add elastic so that it saves the page you are on to get back to quickly on the course, I use a scorecard to do this but it could be easier. Also it is hard to use when it is raining but ideally I do not play in the rain!
As someone who struggles with some mental aspects of he game esp in tournaments I find the vault great!! I am detail oriented and being able to document my rounds to do same or avoid the bad is absolutely amazing
Loved using this on the course the other day. Great quality. Two small issues.
1. The pen and holder are awkward to get in and out of my pocket.
2. Finding your current page for the round gets tedious.
Would love a small holder in the fold of the book for a golf pencil (like the pros) and an elastic for marking your current round. I added both and it’s much better - see photo
Whilst it took a long time to arrive.
I am in Australia.
It was worth the wait. Use it all the time and yes because I now track my golf I am going to say it has improved overall.
A beautiful high quality product. My pro has urged me to maintain a journal to improve. This helps organize shot information from the round as well pre round planning and post round or lesson thought organization. Sized perfectly to fit in your rear pocket if walking (similar to a yardage book) or glove pocket of your bag. I love the personalization that makes it my own. It is an invaluable tool if you're serious about getting better.
Fantastic quality, in fact the quality can not be improved upon. I would really like to use it more for planing in a round. I would like to buy refill pages that have each hole that I could refer to pre filled notes, eg remember to aim further left off the first tee, or remember Jounal 18 stats show that laying up on this hole gets a par/birdie more often, don’t go long on this hole. Etc. It’s great having the notes from the round but you need to be able to use that information productively. A blank 18 hole is similar to the scorecard that’s included but focused on a game plan instead would be perfect. I am trying to adapt what is included to do this.
I love the idea of it. The book itself is great. The downside for me is the pen. I used it for one round. I had issues of the ink smudging while flipping pages. Then I did make the dumb mistake of leaving the the book and pen in my truck after the first usage. I live in eastern NC, it gets pretty hot. All of the results of my first game bled off. Along with the pen drying out and I cant use it anymore.
Overall it is a really well made product. It will stand up to pocket stress over time. THe way the pages are laid out gives an overall view of your whole game on game day. It provides statistics that are useful when I go practice.
I've not had a chance to properly use it yet as I have been injured.
I have used it to help me record some practice sessions.
I like the size of it and i like the look and feel.
Looking forward to the Android Companion App to see if that will be useful. For now, I've found a way to transfer everything (manually) to a spreadsheet to keep detailed stats long term.
really like everything about the Journal18 except the printing I ordered for the back cover came printed upside down (I also wanted it all caps but only first letter capitalised). I am assuming I missed something in the set up but if I did it was not obvious.
The only complaint I have is that the personalized type is SO small. Otherwise, this helps organize range days and tracks every part of the on-course game.
I have found it easier to print of copies of the pages and use them while on the course as the space to write notes is small and is hard to do while playing. Perhaps offering hard cards (5&8) for all the pages in the journal so it would to transfer the course notes into the journal post round
